The terms that apply when you use smcit.co.za, including the information we are required to publish under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

These terms govern your use of smcit.co.za (the "website"), operated by SMC IT Solutions (Pty) Ltd. By using the website you agree to them. They do not govern the services we provide to clients; those are covered by our Master Services Agreement and service schedules, which take precedence over these terms where they conflict.

3. Use of the website
You may use the website for lawful purposes only. You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, scrape it at a volume that degrades its performance, or use it to transmit malicious code.

5. Quotes and prices
Nothing on the website is an offer capable of acceptance. Any quote we give is subject to our written proposal and the Master Services Agreement. Prices are in South African rand and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
6. Intellectual property
The website, its text, design and logo belong to SMC IT Solutions or its licensors. You may share links to our pages and quote short extracts with attribution. Microsoft, Azure, Microsoft 365, Copilot and related names and certification badges are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies and are used to describe our services and qualifications.
7. Links to other sites
We link to external websites for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
8. Privacy
We handle any personal information you give us through the website in line with our privacy notice and cookie notice.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where it applies, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website or reliance on its content. The website is provided "as is". We take reasonable steps to keep it secure and free of malicious code, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
