Are your engineers certified?
Yes. Our team holds 19 Microsoft certifications, including Azure Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert and Azure Administrator Associate.
What is your B-BBEE level?
SMC IT Solutions is a Level 1 B-BBEE contributor. A copy of our certificate is available on request.
Azure migration
What is the process for an Azure migration?

How long does an Azure migration take?
It depends on the complexity of your infrastructure, the number of applications and the volume of data. After the initial assessment we provide a detailed timeline and migration plan.

Will there be downtime during the migration?
We use proven techniques to minimise downtime. Where a brief outage is unavoidable it is planned, scheduled and communicated well in advance.
How secure is my data during migration?
We follow industry-standard security practices and compliance requirements throughout, and configure your Azure environment to protect data and applications once migration is complete.
Do you provide ongoing support after migration?
Yes. We offer ongoing support, optimisation and management so your Azure and Microsoft 365 environments keep performing.
Microsoft 365, AI & licensing
Can you help with Microsoft 365 setup and integration?
Yes — end-to-end, including email migration, SharePoint, Teams, identity, device management and security.
Can we buy Microsoft licences from you?
Yes. As a Microsoft CSP reseller we supply Microsoft 365 and Azure subscriptions, billed monthly in rand, with licence reviews included.
Is our business ready for Microsoft 365 Copilot?
Copilot respects existing permissions, so oversharing in SharePoint and Teams becomes visible fast. We run a readiness review covering permissions, data governance and adoption before rollout.
How do you handle POPIA?
We design solutions with data residency, access control and retention in mind, and handle personal information in line with our privacy policy.
