Cookie notice
Which cookies and third-party requests this website uses, and why.
1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) are small files a website stores on your device. Some are needed for a site to work; others track behaviour for analytics or advertising.
2. What this site uses
smcit.co.za is a static website. We do not set advertising, social-media or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not currently use analytics.
| Item | Provider | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web fonts | Google Fonts (Google LLC) | Displays our typefaces. Your browser requests font files from Google, which receives your IP address. No cookies are set. | Third-party request |
| Map on the contact page | OpenStreetMap Foundation | Shows our area on a map. Loading it sends your IP address to OpenStreetMap. | Third-party embed |
| Security and load-balancing | Our hosting provider | Protects the site against attacks and routes your request. | Strictly necessary |
3. If we add analytics
If we later add website analytics, we will update this notice and ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie. You will be able to change your choice at any time.
4. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because we only use strictly necessary items, blocking cookies will not stop you using this website.
5. More information
See our privacy notice for how we handle personal information, or email privacy@smcit.co.za.
